Make Spoons Not War in the Plain of Jars :

Xiengkhouang Province has developed a new one-day trekking program that starts in the Hmong village of Ban Thalin, before an easy-to-moderate, locally guided, five-hour hike to one on the Plain of Jars most remote sites with nearly 400 jars, many rare stone discs with animal sculptures and the only locale with lids. However, the highlight is Napia Village’s “War Spoon” demonstration, in which locals produce spoons from aluminum UXO (unexploded bombs) scrap. The program ends at the popular Jar Site 1.
