Luang Namtha-based green tourism operator, Phou Iu TravelLaos, has announced its 2011-2012 lineup, with 10 action-packed, one-to-four-day responsible adventures leading the way, including trekking, biking, and staying at jungle and elephant forest camps.
This year, Phou Iu is placing its Adventure Trekking in Luang Namtha, Biking in Luang Namtha and from Luang Namtha to Muang Sing, The Jungle Forest Camp, and Elephant Trail Forest Camp programs in the forefront.
Dedicated to community-based ecotourism and benefiting villages visited, Phou Iu offers tours up to 11 days, which include overnight homestays or accommodation in village lodges in Luang Namtha and the Nam Ha National Protected Area. Transportation varies from walking, cycling, boating, and kayaking to taking tuk-tuks, busses, and four-wheel drive vehicles
